Jim Amatulli

Jim wrote the screenplay, FLYING BY (2008), and is the director and a producer of the film, a drama with music at its core, starring Billy Ray Cyrus, Heather Locklear, and Patricia Neal. He wrote, directed and produced ARTWORKS (2004), a romantic, heist, drama feature film,starring Virginia Madsen and Rick Rossovich.
Jim has written other screenplays: The Liquidators, athriller centered around international antiquities, The Caretaker, a suspense story set in a cemetery, and Magic Feelings, a romance set in Kentucky's thoroughbred country; as well as treatments for other feature and TV projects. Jim is a member of the Directors Guild of America. He was selected to participate in the 2004 Sundance Producers Conference, where he began to build relationships with distributors, industry professionals, and fellow independent producers. He has developed the Arte Films business plan for the production of a slate of films.
